newsletter and monthly Asian vehicle market data. Most of the
information is available by subscription only. The AutoAsia

The Auto Industry website is maintained by the Automotive Unit of
the Department of Trade and Industry. It provides free news and
statistics on the UK automotive industry including the Top 10
manufacturers and models. There is also some European data and a

in the EU. Key figures, economic outlooks, vehicle registrations,
production, trade and accident data for Western Europe are
available free of charge. There is a list of "associated
organizations" many of which give more detailed statistics on
the industry in their country.

Provides news, reports and information on regulations covering the
car sector in EU countries. It also provides data on car price
differentials in the EU and details of vehicle prices within the
EU by manufacturer.

- Internet Portal for Slovak Automotive Suppliers www.ipdap.sk
IDPAP conentrates on Slovak and foreign suppliers to the
automotive industry. It provides news reports and selected
information on activities in the Slovak automotive industry, as
well as access to specific services for members of the portal.
There is a database of companies trading in the automotive
News and statistics on the automotive industry and detailed
company profiles. Some statistics are free, but news (AutoNews) is
available on subscription only. There is a directory of 10,000
automotive suppliers that can be searched free of charge. You can
also view the names of the companies free of charge but contact
details are available only to subscribers. The company profiles
cost £60 each and are updated monthly. They provide details of
structure, employees, activities, customers, product developments,
contracts, mergers & acquisitions, joint ventures, R & D,
financial performance and the latest news involving the company.
Monthly Corporate Briefings provide the the latest news and
information on a specified company for a standard annual
subscription of £195.

The OICA comprises 41 national trade associations from around the
world. There are free statistics organised by country and
manufacturer and links to members' sites.

Web site of the Japan Automotive Manufacturers Association, which
provides news and detailed statistics of motor vehicle and
motorcycle sales, production, import, export and "in
use". The data can be viewed by year, company, size, and

Just-auto offers free news and information on the sector. The
Research section provides access to priced industry reports from
various publishers including Autelligence, AWKnowledge,
Datamonitor, Keynote, Euromonitor, Frost & Sullivan. Reports
can be purchased online. There is also a blog commenting on events
in the sector and RSS feeds for news headlines and the blog are

reports, registration and production statistics, events and
exhibitions. There is a free searchable directory of about 5000
vehicle assemblers, suppliers and service providers to the UK
automotive industry but you have to register to view your results.

SupplierBusiness is a business research company, focussing on
automotive supply base issues. They publish a weekly newsletter,
Insight, "for suppliers about suppliers" covering the
global automotive supplier community, and a monthly newsletter
called Analysis. SupplierBusiness analyses trends and developments
in OEM purchasing, carries interviews with supplier and OEM
industry executives, and reports on the latest M&A activity
and financial news in the sector. As well as news and in depth
reports there are databases of supplier profiles and who supplies

There is some free data and statistics on the US and North
American market but detailed data and statistics on other
